A Composer's Manifesto.

When I first started writing music (about 50 years ago) I did so for purely selfish reasons: I enjoyed it and it made me happy. Eventually some works were performed, and I discovered that the music also made others happy. As making others happy also increases my satisfaction I suppose I still compose for selfish reasons.

Art is reflection. Great works of art are inspired reflections of the truth, beauty, and reality which manifests within the artist. Whether anything I have written is great art is for others to decide, but I do hope that some of it may elate and raise vision and consciousness to a higher level.
